Overview

Auto-run is a powerful feature in Hunch that automates the execution of blocks in your canvas. When enabled, it allows your AI workflow to progress smoothly without manual intervention, enhancing productivity and reducing the time between ideation and results.

How auto-run works

When auto-run is active, blocks are automatically executed as soon as their instructions and all necessary inputs or dependencies are ready. This means:

  1. New blocks with complete instructions will run immediately upon creation.
  2. Existing blocks will re-run when their instructions or inputs change.
  3. Connected blocks will execute in sequence as soon as their predecessor blocks complete.

Benefits of auto-run

The auto-run feature offers several advantages:

  • Efficiency: It eliminates the need to manually trigger each block, speeding up your workflow.
  • Real-time feedback: You can see results instantly as you make changes, facilitating rapid iteration.
  • Focus: With execution automated, you can concentrate on refining your instructions and overall workflow structure.

Control and flexibility

While auto-run streamlines your workflow, Hunch understands the need for control. The auto-run feature can be easily toggled on or off using a switch at the top right of the canvas. This allows you to:

  • Pause execution when you want to make multiple changes without triggering intermediate runs.
  • Manually control execution order when needed.
  • Conserve resources by turning off auto-run for large or complex canvases.

By combining the convenience of auto-run with the option for manual control, Hunch provides a flexible environment that adapts to your working style and project needs.
